「Noting」
A bird flies over rice. until around 1870, taxes in Japan were collected in rice.
The symbol of wealth was not money, but rice. Rice cultivation spread in Japan around the 4th century.spread in Japan
around the 4th century. I feel that we have continued to evolve along with technology.
I feel that we have continued to evolve along with technology.
However, this rural landscape hardly shows the passage of 1600 years,
only the style of the buildings has changed.and we can hardly feel the passage of 1,600 years.
There may be no major changes in the future.
Perhaps there will be no major changes in the future. Since ancient times, we have lived in some kind of community
We have been living while engaging in productive activities in some kind of community.
We continue to live in a world where various boundaries are drawn, such as “myself, family, friends, village, country, etc.”
We continue to live in a world where various boundaries are drawn.
In this photo, too, “rice field, town, sky, and clouds” are beautifully layered. The city is on top of the “rice (wealth),
” and the sky is above it with clouds. In that structural world, “bird = self” is flying freely.
Before we are born, while we are sleeping, and after we die,
we cannot even perceive what is around us or who we are.
When we dream, the dream world becomes reality.
A perched bird is “death, sleep, before birth,
” and the wilderness is “the world we cannot perceive, the world of our dreams.”
The perched tree represents “the body, the community on which one relies.
Both the wilderness and the rice world have the sky in common.
The sky is not a material thing, just something we call the sky.
The paint on the wall is a material object such as “body, society, and pencil.
The peeling paint represents insubstantial things such as “mind, ego, and consciousness.
The red line running trackless looks like the flight path of a bird or our consciousness.
By peeling off the paint, the bird is able to fly around,
but at the same time, it is trapped in the space where the paint has peeled off.
But at the same time, we can say that the bird is trapped in the space where the paint has peeled off.
It is just like us who can only live in some kind of container.
The thick wall itself has an infinite layered structure. Something exists outside the wall.
The red line exists as a point at that moment.
A series of dots becomes a line, which becomes movement.
Is the bird flying? Or is it standing still?
When you take a picture, time disappears.
If you take a black-and-white photo, color disappears. A pencil in a photo is not a pencil.
When you take a picture, your name disappears.
Time disappears, color disappears, name disappears,
Both you, the photographer, and the subject will eventually disappear.
What exactly is the thing captured in a photograph?
